Felipe de Marinis y Liat Tapia
Bofill Mir Abogados strengthens its Dispute Resolution practice with the addition of two new partners
Bofill Mir Abogados announced the incorporation of Liat Tapia and Felipe de Marinis as new partners leading the Dispute Resolution team. With their arrival, Bofill Mir reaches a total of 14 partners — nearly one-third of them women — as part of its steady growth process.
Through this strategic decision, the Dispute Resolution practice is strengthened with joint leadership that combines outstanding technical expertise and a deep understanding of multiple industries, across arbitration, litigation, and administrative matters, all to the benefit of our clients.
Both are graduates of the University of Chile, hold postgraduate degrees in New York, and have international professional experience, in addition to having developed their careers at leading Chilean law firms. They are also listed among the Young Arbitrators of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce Arbitration and Mediation Center (CAM Santiago), reflecting their active participation in the arbitration community. Their incorporation further reinforces the interdisciplinary and internationally experienced nature of Bofill Mir Abogados.
Regarding her appointment, Liat Tapia highlighted: "Bofill Mir’s clients demand technically impeccable service. My motivation is to lead the resolution of their disputes with the utmost rigor, always focused on achieving their objectives through an excellent, efficient, and transparent service." About the firm, she added: "I am proud to be part of a firm that maintains a permanent commitment to female leadership within the profession."
Meanwhile, Felipe de Marinis emphasized: "Chile is currently facing an increasingly litigious environment, with constant legal reforms and increasingly technical disputes. For companies, having specialized lawyers who can anticipate risks and design effective strategies is critical. I am confident that this new structure at Bofill Mir will be key to meeting those challenges and providing high-value solutions to our national and international clients."
Rodrigo Saffirio, managing partner of the firm, explained: "We were looking to incorporate area leaders capable of managing the large volume of local and international dispute resolution work we handle. Both have outstanding careers, and we are certain that their incorporation marks a decisive step in the continued development of this practice within the firm."
The arrival of the new partners follows the appointments made in September, when Tomás Blake, partner of Public and Regulatory Law, and Daniel Martorell, partner of Criminal Law, who is leading the launch of this new practice, joined the firm.
