Chile Moves Forward With the Implementation of its National Cybersecurity Policy
Alessandri - On July 11, 2025, the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security issued Exempt Resolution No. 28, which implements the Action Plan for the National Cybersecurity Policy 2023–2028. This resolution, published in the Official Gazette, represents a strategic advance in the digital organizational framework, in line with the technological and social challenges facing the country. It marks the definitive transition from a declaration of strategic intentions to the implementation of tangible measures and embodies the role of the new institutional framework, positioning the National Cybersecurity Agency (ANCI) and the Interministerial Committee as the driving force behind cybersecurity governance.
What does this resolution establish?
Exempt Resolution No. 28 is based on the unanimous agreement of the Interministerial Committee on Cybersecurity and serves a clear purpose: to implement the Action Plan for the National Cybersecurity Policy 2023–2028. The document includes 15 priority measures, selected from a total of 76 proposals, based on the criterion of feasibility of implementation and aligned with the cross-cutting themes defined by the national policy.
