Fegamo & Vasaf expands its Corporate/M&A, Labor & Global Mobility and Foreign Trade & Customs Practices

To continue with the firm’s growth and expansion strategy, Fegamo & Vasaf proudly welcomes a group of highly prestigious lawyers into the team. Raul Lara Maiz (Labor & Global Mobility) and David Ken Fujii (Japanese Practice Group and Corporate) join the firm as Partners, and Jorge Cardenas Tijerina (Corporate/M&A and Fintech) and Miguel Angel Torres Gonzalez (Foreign Trade and Customs) as Senior Associates, resulting in a total of 21 professionals in the Fegamo & Vasaf team. This responds to the Firm’s growth and consolidation strategy.

Raul joins the Firm as Partner in the Labor & Global Mobility Practice. He has a Law Degree from the Universidad de Monterrey and over 20 years’ experience in labor matters and international mobility. He has advised national and foreign clients -leaders in manufacturing, technology and trade industries- on matters such as individual and collective labor consulting, labor compliance, company restructure in Mexico, including collective terminations and employer replacement, as well as management of immigration procedures and visas for Mexico and the United States. Raul was recently awarded as "Next Generation Partner" by Legal 500.

  David Fujii is a multicultural lawyer, specializing in business, legal and tax matters, keen on providing services to Japanese and Asia- Pacific companies. Fuji joins the Firm as Partner in the Japanese Practice Group to develop the Japanese clients, that currently represent a potential of more than 1,300 companies in Mexico. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in International Commerce from the ITESM, Campus Monterrey. He also achieved a Law Degree and a Master’s in Corporate Law, from the Universidad Humanitas in Mexico City. In addition, he has PHD in Law from the Universidad de Durango. He is familiar with the Japanese culture due to his heritage and Japanese nationality. David Fujii has broad experience in the commercial and manufacturing sectors, especially in the automotive, electronics and general manufacturing industries. His areas of expertise include corporate law, foreign trade, labor, immigration and real estate, among others.
