First steps for Marina Club Barranco in Lima
Enterprise Galaxy, a Peruvian company, has entered into an agreement for a 30-year concession for the construction and operation of the Marina Club Barranco project to be built in Los Yuyos beach in Lima over the Pacific shore. The concession agreement was executed on September 17, 2004, with the Municipality of Barranco.
The construction of the project will take 21 months and require an investment of approximately US$8 million. The operator of the project, once built, will be American company Westrec Marines.
Marina Club Barranco will be an exclusive club and will have the first marina in the beaches of the city of Lima. The marina will accommodate 70 vessels on land and 125 at sea. The club registration fees will go to a trust and, once 600 members have joined and 50 vessel spaces are booked, the funds will be disbursed for construction.
Enterprise Galaxy took counsel from Rodrigo, Elias & Medrano Abogados through partners Juan del Busto and Carlos Carpio and associate Gino Sangalli de los Rios. The Municipality of Barranco was advised by in-house counsel Rafael Vigo.
