Von Wobeser strengthens its team with the appointment of a new Partner and three Counsels  

Von Wobeser y Sierra has announced the appointment of a new partner and three counsels with complementary expertise, aligned with its full-practice approach to providing exceptional client service. These appointments are effective as of January 1, 2025.

The promoted lawyers are new Partner Adrián Castillo (Labour and Employment Law.), and new Counsels Manuel Martínez (Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions and Real Estate Law), Jaime Ostos (Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Banking & Finance Law), and Carlos López Córdova (Litigation and Arbitration), strengthening these key areas.

New Partner Adrián Castillo brings more than 20 years of experience in Labour and Employment Law. He specializes in resolving collective disputes and managing complex labor negotiations in industries such as automotive, mining, and financial services. He has been directly involved in multiple comprehensive collective bargaining agreement reviews and salary negotiations, ownership claims between unions, and strikes, establishing himself as one of the country’s most recognized experts. His promotion strengthens the firm’s leadership in managing critical labour matters and implementing innovative solutions for its clients.

New Counsel Jaime Ostos has more than 14 years of experience in Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Banking & Finance Law. He has worked with financial institutions and private equity funds on a wide range of financing and complex corporate transactions. New Counsel Carlos López Córdova has more than 13 years of experience in Litigation and Arbitration, focusing on commercial disputes as well as constitutional and administrative matters. He has represented clients before international courts and regulatory authorities in sectors such as energy and telecommunications, achieving outstanding results. He is the author of notable publications, including a recent book on indigenous consultation rights. His promotion solidifies the firm’s position as a leader in dispute resolution.
