A professional institution of lawyers organized as a civil-law partnership established in 1986, AraqueReyna was designed from the outset to provide comprehensive legal services to its clients, which are primarily private-sector institutions. The firm has also developed significant capabilities in adapting to the various procedural reforms introduced in recent years. In particular, it has built a substantial team of litigators for the oral trial system established by the new Organic Labour Procedure Law. The firm has also developed effective capabilities in representing clients in court in collective actions and claims brought by groups of people, in the fields of commercial law, including product liability, as well as civil and labour law. It also has particular strength in administrative proceedings, at both the administrative and judicial levels, notably in representing clients in tax, competition, consumer protection and intellectual property matters.

In international matters, the firm has strong working relationships with a significant number of leading law firms in other countries, with which it has handled a range of professional matters. Its contacts span the United States, Latin America and Europe.

AraqueReyna currently has forty (40) lawyers. Their specialisations, integrated into an institutional practice, give clients access to a well-established professional organisation with the capacity to provide services in the core areas required by any institution active in Venezuela’s business community.

The firm has devoted particular attention to dispute resolution, promoting and developing arbitration, primarily institutional arbitration, at both the national and international levels.

Araque Reyna has participated in major project financings, domestic and foreign securities offerings, and public credit transactions. In economic law, alongside its tax practice, the firm has played a significant role in competition law, leading major cases before the Superintendence for the Promotion of Free Competition (Procompetencia).
