Desirée Barahona Mata

Desirée is an associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department. She currently focuses on corporate law and the Department’s M&A transactions.

Additionally, in the data privacy field, Desirée works with companies to ensure compliance and to strengthen their privacy profile. From creating data protection protocols to mitigating security breaches, it is a subject that she is passionate about. She also has experience performing risk analysis on the processing and transferring of data for transnational companies.

Ms. Barahona has a background in Intellectual Property Law. She has collaborated with international experts on the development and analysis of complex patent cases. She has advised clients in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical, motorcycle, and cosmetic industries to protect their inventions.
