Janet Martland

I joined the Family Team at Crane & Staples in February 2019. I became a Senior Associate Solicitor in April 2023.

I represent parents and children in care proceedings in cases involving:

• Neglect
• Allegations of non-accidental injuries
• Allegations of sexual and physical abuse
• Complex medical issues
• Allegations of domestic violence
• Drug and alcohol concerns
• Mental health issues.

Academic Activities

• Since I qualified as a solicitor in 2010, I have specialised in Family and Children Law.

Memberships

• I am a member of the Law Society’s Children Law Panel, Family Law Panel and Family Law (Advanced) Panel.
• I am a member of Resolution and a member of Resolution’s Legal Aid Committee.
