Represented Grupo HPB in structuring an ownership model designed to promote property ownership among multiple individuals or entities, enabling them to benefit from operating returns.

Represented Webhelp in Guatemala in its acquisition of all of OneLink’s operations in Latin America.

He also has experience and expertise in financial and securities law, as well as telecommunications and information technology law. He has also advised on foreign direct investment through the establishment of local operations, as well as on the design and negotiation of contracts such as franchise, distribution and agency agreements.

He has also led corporate restructurings and participated in due diligence processes and the subsequent negotiation of share or asset purchase agreements, as applicable.

Represented IMCD N.V., a leading distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, in its acquisition of 100% of the business and subsidiaries of Quelaris Internacional S.A.

Represented Spanish telecommunications company Telefónica in Guatemala in the sale of its assets in Central America to Millicom and América Móvil for $2.3 billion.

Represented Delivery Hero SE, the leading delivery platform in the local market, in its acquisition of all of Glovo’s operations in Latin America for €230 million.

Luis Pedro leads the Banking, Finance, Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions practices. He has extensive experience advising on general corporate matters, including the drafting of both typical and atypical contracts, as well as complex corporate transactions. He has played an active role in designing corporate structures and tax planning.

Education

Bachelor of Laws and Social Sciences; lawyer and notary, Universidad Francisco Marroquín de Guatemala. Licensed to practise law and as a notary. He completed LLM studies in Information Technology Law at Stockholm University in Sweden. He is currently working on his second thesis, focused on analysing the automation of law.
