Marisa is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney specialising in brand protection and enforcement. She has significant experience in the strategic management of trade mark and design portfolios working with clients in a range of sectors including healthcare, hospitality, technology and fashion.
Marisa advises on complex contentious matters including trade mark opposition and cancellation proceedings, infringement, IP contract disputes, bad faith and multi-jurisdictional issues.
Marisa joined the Brands team as a partner in 2022 and is based in our Bristol office.
Awards and Recognitions
- She appears regularly before the UK Intellectual Property Office and was ranked 10th in the league table of Trade Mark Attorney appearances before the UK IPO for the period 2016 - 2020.
- Marisa was recognised by Legal 500 as a Recommended Lawyer 2022 and is described by one multi-national client as setting "the gold standard" in the field of brand protection.
