Nicolás acts for several high-profile lenders in property and development finance and secured lending matters. He is a well-connected adviser to banks and BTO’s key contact for clients including Lloyds Banking Group, Royal Bank of Scotland, Triodos Bank and Close Brothers. Nicolás and his team advise on the property aspects of renewable energy schemes financed through bank-backed and project finance, including wind and hydroelectric projects, acting for funders, developers and landowners. He has a particular interest in ethical and social finance and is Triodos Bank’s lead property lawyer for commercial lending. He is one of the few Scottish solicitors on Close Property Finance’s commercial lending panel. He and his team were recently appointed to TSB Bank’s commercial lending panel, another significant panel appointment and a testament to their reputation and expertise. As a commercial property lawyer, Nicolás also advises landlords, tenants, developers, insolvency practitioners, community groups and charities on property matters.
