Rodrigo Rojas Palma

He was born in Chile on 29 December.

A lawyer who graduated from the University of Chile, he leads Abdala & Cia.’s tax and information technology practices.

He specialises in tax matters and information technology. With more than 30 years’ experience, he has developed particular expertise in tax matters, as well as IT contracting, personal data protection, cybercrime, intellectual property, e-commerce and other internet-related matters.

He also has extensive experience in IT, telecommunications and systems, gained through providing legal advice to SONDA and around 20 companies in its group for more than 20 years.

In December 2017, he rejoined Abdala & Cia., where he had worked from 2005 to 2014.

He served as legal adviser to the Chilean Association of Information Technology Companies (ACTI) until 2016 and has been a member of AmCham’s Intellectual Property Committee since 2007. From 2009 to 2012, he was director of postgraduate studies and extension at the Faculty of Law of Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
