Sofía O’Ryan concentrates her practice in antitrust and consumer law.
In antitrust, she advises on matters related to mergers, unilateral conduct and possible cartels, both in investigations before the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office and in proceedings before the Antitrust Court.
She also advises on the design and implementation of commercial policies consistent with the strategic objectives of each client and the regulations in force, as well as on the development of compliance programs and internal investigations for the timely prevention and detection of potentially risky conduct, accompanying clients in the definition of the most appropriate solutions.
He also frequently advises clients on day-to-day business competition matters, with special emphasis on possible abuses of dominant position in commercial practices and policies. He has advised on collaboration between competitors, exclusivity agreements and use of competitors’ information, among others, to clients in various industries, such as technology, industrial and life sciences.
He also advises on consumer protection matters in proceedings before the National Consumer Service (SERNAC), civil and specialized courts (CONAR) in advertising regulation matters including false or misleading advertising, unethical practices and other practices that may affect consumers.
