Sonia Urbina

Sonia joined the firm as a paralegal in the Intellectual Property Department in El Salvador in 2004, working in the areas of trademark and patent registration, health registration (applications for sale of food and beverage products, cosmetics, medicines, agro-chemical products and legal assessment of these matters) and Consumer Protection matters (assessment and representation in administrative actions). After returning from her post-graduate studies, she was named the head lawyer of the Intellectual Property Department in Honduras (2009).

Education

• Law degree from the Universidad Dr. José Matí­as Delgado, El Salvador Authorized as practicing Attorney and Notary Public by the Supreme Court of El Salvador. Studies in Business Law of the University Jose Simón Cañas (UCA), and Fundación de Estudios para el Derecho (FESPAD). She has an LLM in International Business and Trade Law in Fordham University, New York.
