Stefania Bergia

• She assists clients on a pan-European level in a wide range of judicial and extra-judicial matters related to IP law.

Education

• Stefania holds a PhD in IP Law from the University of Parma.

Academic Activities

• She has taught courses at the University of Parma, including "Legislation and Patents - Chemical and Biotech Patents and GMO Legislation." Stefania also teaches for postgraduate courses at the Italian School for the Judiciary and the Polytechnic University of Milan. Additionally, she was involved in an online course organized by Harvard University.

Memberships

• Stefania is a registered representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), which became operational on 1 June 2023.

Awards and Recognitions

• Stefania is listed among the Leading Individuals in The Legal 500 . She is ranked in Chambers Global/Europe and the World Trademark Review . In IP Stars , she is recognized as a Patent Star in the patent strategy and counseling category. She was named "Best IP Lawyer of the Year for Patent Litigation" at the 2019 TopLegal Awards. Additionally, she received the title of "Lawyer of the Year: Trademarks and Patents" at the 2019 Legalcommunity IP & TMT Awards.
