Cavelier refreshes its brand identity to reflect the breadth of its legal practice
The Colombian firm, founded in 1953 and originally focused on intellectual property, unveils an image intended to represent its eight practice areas

Cavelier unveiled a new brand identity on November 4, following a review of its positioning, narrative and visual system. With the refresh, the Colombian firm aims to reflect the evolution of its practice from intellectual property to a full range of business advisory services.
Founded in 1953, the firm currently organises its services into eight practice areas: intellectual property, compliance, entertainment, corporate and M&A, banking and finance, employment, tax and litigation.
“We are not changing our essence. We are refreshing our image to show who we are today,” said Javier Escandón, managing partner of Cavelier, in the announcement.
The lawyer explained that the refresh is intended to convey the diversity of matters handled by the firm, from M&A transactions to tax defence, complex litigation and patent portfolio protection.
The new identity features an A formed by two separate strokes, one turquoise and the other midnight blue. According to the firm, the design represents both two parties reaching an agreement and the relationship between client and lawyer. The graphic system includes mountain motifs and a palette combining midnight blue, turquoise and golden amber accents.
Cavelier serves, among others, the life sciences, technology and digital health, agribusiness, financial services, consumer and entertainment sectors. According to the firm, its international practice is supported by alliances, correspondent relationships and a network of more than 600 international agents in Latin America, the Caribbean and other markets.
