Chilean IAPP members celebrate International Data Protection Day at Alessandri
 

Alessandri Abogados recently organised a Happy Hour in collaboration with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) to commemorate International Data Protection Day.

The event took place at Alessandri’s offices in Santiago de Chile, where associates Jaime Urzúa and María Ignacia Ormeño, recently elected as volunteers of the Chilean KnowledgeNet Chapter of IAPP, hosted the celebration.

During the day, Jaime (Chapter Chair) and María Ignacia (Young Privacy Pro), together with Edison Escobar (Chapter Chair) and Bernarda Muñoz (Young Privacy Pro), offered a warm welcome to the attendees, all members of IAPP. They thanked them for their presence and invited them to contribute new ideas, to take up academic instances and to debate the challenges presented by the new regulations.

The IAPP is a non-profit association founded in 2000, whose mission is to define, promote and improve the professions related to privacy, the governance of artificial intelligence and digital responsibility worldwide.

The KnowledgeNet Chapters of the IAPP provide a space where privacy professionals can connect, learn and share knowledge. Through meetings and activities, members discuss relevant issues, earn continuing education credits (CPE) and strengthen their professional network.
