Bofill Mir Abogados promotes Paula Donoso and Francisco Miranda to Senior Associates

Chilean law firm Bofill Mir has announced the promotion of attorneys Paula Donoso and Francisco Miranda from the Corporate Law and Mining and Natural Resources practices, respectively, to Senior Associates. Both assumed their new positions in May, and both Paula and Francisco are about to leave for Lima and Buenos Aires, respectively, for international internships at leading law firms in their jurisdictions.

Paula began her career at Bofill Mir Abogados (BM) in 2019, while Francisco joined the firm in 2021. Both are lawyers from the University of Chile and graduated in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

Francisco has a diploma in Natural Resources and Environment from Universidad de los Andes and another in Tax Analysis and Planning from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and Paula is pursuing a diploma in Taxation, Financing and Accounting in Business at the same university.

"It is no coincidence that the names of our new Senior Associates coincide with the fact that they are going to undertake an internship in Peru and Argentina. They are two young lawyers who are very committed to their professional development and, consequently, to that of the firm", commented Rodrigo Saffirio, Managing Partner.

Among her most recent deals, we can highlight Paula’s participation in the sale to Grupo Bitali of 100% of Rosen’s subsidiary in Argentina and to Banco Consorcio in the granting of financing to the Guacolda thermoelectric plant, as part of the restructuring of a loan for a total amount of US$333 million.
Francisco was involved in the joint venture between Mitsui and Kal Tire for the recycling of tires in mining; and in the acquisition of 51% of Caserones by Lundin Mining from JX Nippon Mining & Metals Corporation, for approximately US$950 million.
