The attorney joins from Posse Herrera to co-lead the Life Sciences practice

Dentons Cardenas & Cardenas continues its expansion process by strengthening its Life Sciences practice area through the incorporation of Mónica Bonnett as new partner.

With Monica’s appointment, the firm intends to promote the development of a key area of utmost importance for the market. With Monica’s designation, Dentons will bolster the team’s current capabilities to respond to a growing demand from their clients in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Health sectors.

Mónica Bonnett is a lawyer from Universidad del Rosario and has postgraduate studies in Competition and Consumer Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia. Before being appointed as partner, Monica worked for Posse Herrera Ruiz in Colombia and had prior experience in the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce.

Bernardo Cárdenas, Managing Partner of Dentons Cardenas & Cardenas commented:

"We believe that the incorporation of Monica as a new partner will be crucial for achieving the milestones and objectives outlined in our strategic plan. We are pleased to have incorporated a professional with extensive experience, both nationally and internationally in regulatory, patents, health legislation, plant varieties, and administrative procedures against the ICA. Surely Monica will modernize this area and will imbue it with the dynamism that characterizes her."

In turn, Monica Bonnett noted:

"I am thrilled to embark on this new challenge at Dentons Cardenas & Cardenas. I am sure that in the short term, we will be able to consolidate our Life Sciences area as a leading practice both in the Colombian and in the regional market."
