Grupo Evans adds Rodrigo Violic and Felipe Zepeda as Of Counsel

The arrival of the two renowned engineers is part of a growth strategy in the areas of Energy, Corporate Finance and Project Finance

Chilean law and engineering firm Grupo Evans has announced the incorporation of two new Of Counsel to strengthen its Corporate Finance and Project Finance area, as part of the firm’s initial strategic definition of a multidisciplinary approach to developing projects while strengthening the delivery of highly complex integrated advisory services.

The firm’s advisory services relate to the financing, development and construction of large power generation projects and associated works.
Grupo Evans announces the arrival of engineers Rodrigo Violic and Felipe Zepeda, who join as Of Counsel in the areas of corporate finance and project finance. 

Rodrigo Violic is a commercial engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry in Chile and the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Investment Committee of the Private Debt Fund of Toesca Asset Management and lecturer of the course "Energy Finance" of the Master in Renewable Energy Technologies and Management of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
During his professional career, he served as Head of Project Finance at Banco BICE for more than 60 NCRE projects in Chile and was Developing Country Private Sector Representative of the Private Sector Advisory Group of the Green Climate Fund. This is a panel of 10 global experts in charge of providing recommendations to the board of the Green Climate Fund for the best relationship with the private sector.

NOTE: The Green Climate Fund was created under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change as an operating entity of the Financial Mechanism to assist developing countries in adaptation and mitigation practices to counter climate change.

Felipe Zepeda is a civil industrial engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector, specialising in strategic planning, project structuring and evaluation, budgeting and management control. He was manager of administration and development at Banco BICE and is a member of the board of the COANIL Educational Foundation. He holds a Master’s degree in Management and Systems and a diploma in Financial Management from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, in addition to studying Management Control at Harvard University.
