Pérez-Llorca appoints Iván Gayarre as new Partner in the Labour & Employment Department

Pérez-Llorca has announced the appointment of Iván Gayarre as new partner in the Firm´s Labour & Employment Department.

Gayarre, who joins the Madrid office from Sagardoy Abogados, will work in coordination with the Employment teams located in Barcelona and Lisbon.

Gayarre has almost 25 years of practice in senior positions both in the public administration and in other top law firms. He is a State Lawyer and Inspector of the Services of the General State Administration on leave of absence.

The new partner of Pérez-Llorca has extensive experience in all areas of labour relations, with a special focus on the execution of complex litigation, collective bargaining and restructuring processes, including insolvency proceedings, in sectors as diverse as the public sector in general, finance, technology, health, education, science and aviation, media, ports and road transport, among others.

A graduate in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, he obtained the Diploma of Advanced Studies in the ’Business Law’ doctoral programme at the University of Huelva. He has been a member of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation since 2013 and co-director of the Corporate Social Responsibility and Law Forum of the FIDE Foundation (now ESG) since 2009. He has also completed the Programme for Executives on New Technologies at The Valley.

Gayarre also has a strong academic background. He has been and continues to be a lecturer in Labour and Social Security Law since 2003 in both public and private universities. He is the author of several publications and is a regular speaker at different courses in the public and private sectors.

Among his distinctions, he stands out for being recognised by the Chambers Europe directory in the ’Employment: Elite’ practice, as well as by Best Lawyers® in ’Labour and Employment Law’.
