Pérez-Llorca has strengthened its tax area with the incorporation of Felipe Alonso, Javier Povo, and Antonio Ruiz, who join from GTA Villamagna along with other lawyers from their team.

Felipe Alonso joins as Of Counsel, Javier Povo joins as Partner, and Antonio Ruiz joins as Senior Tax Counsel.

These additions represent a considerable reinforcement of the Tax area of Pérez-Llorca, specifically in the areas of tax litigation and private wealth.

Felipe Alonso Fernández is a Tax Inspector on leave of absence and has more than 40 years of professional experience, having held positions of responsibility in the Spanish Public Administration and in various law firms. He stands out for his experience in tax proceedings and litigation, in real estate, and in commercial transactions, as well as in private wealth. His professional career has been widely recognized; he has been ranked as Eminent Practitioner in Tax and Band 2 in Private Wealth Management in Chambers & Partners, and included in the prestigious category of Hall of Fame by The Legal 500 in Tax. He has also been distinguished by the US publication Best Lawyers as one of the most outstanding lawyers in the areas of Probates and Estates and Tax, and as Highly Regarded by World Tax in the practices of Tax Controversy and Indirect Tax.

Javier Povo specializes in tax litigation and procedures, and has 17 years of experience in national and international law firms in Spain. He has extensive experience in advising multinational companies and institutions in their verification and investigation procedures, in economic-administrative and in judicial proceedings. He is ranked in different legal directories such as Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 in the Tax area.

Antonio Ruiz is an economist as well as a lawyer, and has more than 15 years of experience in general and real estate taxation, taxation of restructuring operations, M&A, private wealth and accounting law. His work has been recognized by Best Lawyers, who has singled him out as one of the most outstanding professionals in the area of Economics.
