Florent Patoret joins Galicia in Mexico as Mergers & Acquisitions Partner  

Galicia is pleased to announce the appointment of Florent Patoret as a partner in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice effective January 1, 2024.

Florent’s promotion to partner is a clear reflection of the firm’s continued commitment to developing its lawyers, and is consistent with our organic growth strategy, as well as with the firm’s firm belief that diversity in our teams adds high value to our unique service offering in the Mexican market. He previously worked in the Paris office of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton for three years as an associate specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets. He is admitted to practice in Mexico, New York and France.

Florent holds a law degree from Université Paris 12, Paris (2009). He holds an LLM in Corporate Law from Université Paris Dauphine, Paris (2010) and an LLM in Corporate Law from New York University School of Law, New York (2012).

Florent joined Galicia in 2016 as an associate. His practice specializes with extensive experience in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate matters. He is also very active in the Mining industry, where he advises clients on transactional aspects of M&A, as well as financing and regulatory matters.

He has actively participated in international M&A transactions with domestic and international clients. He has advised companies and investors, including French companies, within the framework of their opening of activities in Mexico and their compliance with applicable corporate obligations.
