BLP advises Grupo Tribu during a transaction for the sale of its companies in the region

The buyer was Havas Group, a leading company in the advertisement sector and one of the largest communication groups worldwide, with global sales of almost two thousand million Euros. 

The transaction was closed this week for Costa Rica and for some of the other companies in the region.  Another portion of the transaction will be closed in the upcoming months.

Grupo Tribu is the leading company in the communications and advertisement sector with over 25 years in the market.  The acquisition of this company represents the first investment of Havas Group in Latin America.

BLP represented Grupo Tribu regionally in connection with this complex transaction, which required coordination with attorneys across the region in order to reach a simultaneous closing and included the provision of legal assistance in corporate issues as well as in labor and intellectual property topics.  The team was led by partner Luis M. Castro and associate Adriana Castro, with the participation of associates Bernardo van der Laat and Adriana Acuña. 

In addition, partners Ricardo Cevallos, José Miguel Álvarez and Jorge Brizuela as well as associates Luis Vega and Francis Blandón participated in the transaction.
