BLP announces a new Partner in Nicaragua
Claudia Prado will be the second Partner in BLP’s offices in Nicaragua, alongside Ernesto Rizo.
With this new addition, BLP currently has an impeccable team of 30 Partners in Central America and Spain. By joining this team, Claudia will be contributing her extensive experience in Banking & Finance, Energy & Infrastructure, Business Law and more.
Her professional trajectory of over 20 years began in the energy sector as Legal Advisor in Electricity at Instituto Nicaragüense de Energía (INE) and developed as a Legal Services Manager at Unión Fenosa DISNORTE-DISSUR. Subsequently, she began as a Corporate Legal Advisor at Pellas Group and after Grupo Financiero BAC│CREDOMATIC was acquired by Grupo Aval, she took charge of the legal management of BAC in Nicaragua as Legal Manager. Likewise, she worked as Corporate Legal Director at Grupo Calsa.
Claudia is also distinguished as being a member of the Legal Committee of the Private Bank Association of Nicaragua (ASOBANP) and included in the list of the Top 100 In-House Attorneys with the most influence and the most innovative in Central America by CG Powerlist Central America of The Legal 500.
Claudia’s addition as a Partner of the firm represents our solid commitment in matters of gender equality. Claudia is the third consecutive woman to be appointed as Partner in less than three months, increasing the percentage of Partners in the firm that are women to 30%.
