EY celebrates 65 years in Argentina and announces 1,000 new jobs
Ey Law will invest in strategic sectors of the economy, business transformation, application of new technologies and the entrepreneurial ecosystem
In the framework of its 65th anniversary in the country, the consulting firm EY presented its vision and projects for the coming years in Argentina.
EY Argentina currently has 4,000 collaborators who provide services to more than 2,000 clients. Through its Entrepreneur of the Year program, the Firm has recognized the projects of more than 100 Argentine entrepreneurs, many of whom have now become top-level companies, leaders in their sector and international benchmarks.
"With a global vision and a strong local focus, we are part of a unified team in the Latin American region, which allows us to leverage all the power and diversity of capabilities of our organization at the regional level to drive innovation and transformation of our clients, people and communities," said Fernando Paci, Country Managing Partner of EY Argentina.
"Throughout these 65 years, we have accompanied the most important Argentine companies and the largest business groups in the world that have a presence in our country in their strategic projects, in their difficult moments and in their growth and expansion plans, supporting them in making and implementing complex decisions," added Paci.
As part of its celebration, EY Argentina announced the main lines of its new strategy "Shape the future with confidence", which will involve 1,000 new jobs within 2 years and a significant investment in new solutions for strategic sectors of the economy, such as energy -with its Oil and Gas Center of Excellence-, mining, mass consumption, agribusiness chain -with its Center of Excellence-, telecommunications and financial services, among others.
This investment will be focused on solutions related to business transformation and creation, digital evolution -through the application of new technologies-, improving compliance with regulatory changes, promoting the sustainability agenda, new services to enhance the development of the capital markets, strengthening cybersecurity and promoting the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Firm will also invest significantly in expanding its exports of value-added services, both to Latin America and other markets around the world, which will contribute to greater generation of foreign exchange and jobs in the country.
"The talent in the corporate world today is not only made up of auditors, tax specialists, accountants and lawyers, but also of engineers of the most diverse branches, environmentalists, marketers, sociologists, programmers and a variety of professions that we will see being born to respond to the new demands of an innovative and changing market. But, fundamentally, what concerns us is to put these capabilities at the service of our clients’ needs and contribute to the world of work," - he added.
