New Code of Ethics for Government Suppliers
Bofill Mir Exempt Resolution No. 37-B, published on January 21, 2026, by the Public Procurement and Contracting Directorate ("ChileCompra"), approves Directive No. 31/2026 regarding the "Code of Ethics and Best Practices for Government Suppliers in Public Procurement" ("Directive").
The Directive provides guidelines and behavioral recommendations that government suppliers must follow throughout the various stages of public procurement procedures.
Its main objective is to strengthen transparency, integrity, and fair competition in public procurement processes through:
i. The prevention of corrupt practices;
ii. The timely identification and resolution of conflicts of interest; and
iii. Ensuring open, competitive participation under equal conditions.
