Adriana de Buerba has been a partner in Pérez-Llorca’s Economic Criminal Law and Investigations practice since January 2010.
She joined Pérez-Llorca in 2008 to lead the firm’s criminal law practice, after ten years as a public prosecutor.
Her practice focuses on economic criminal law and investigations. Adriana has acted in numerous criminal proceedings involving corporate offences, tax fraud, workplace accidents, fraud, fraudulent asset transfers and misappropriation.
Adriana has recognised experience in international judicial cooperation, having acted in numerous cross-border criminal proceedings involving the execution of requests for international legal assistance. She is also an expert in extradition proceedings and European Arrest Warrants. The team she leads also advises several companies on corporate compliance.

Academic Activities
- Adriana has taught on the Initial Training Course for Public Prosecutors and on continuing education courses at the Centre for Legal Studies of the Ministry of Justice (CEJ).
- She has also contributed to continuing education courses organised by the General Council of the Judiciary and the Legal Service Directorate of the Social Security Administration.
- She teaches on the Master’s in Economic Criminal Law at King Juan Carlos University of Madrid and takes part in various specialist forums on economic criminal law.
