Juan Pablo Rothschild joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 2004 and was appointed partner in 2017. He specializes in customs law, foreign trade and tax law.
He advises domestic and international companies on customs and foreign trade matters in international transactions, seeking efficient structures from a tax, customs and logistics perspective.
He also has extensive experience in litigation against the Dirección General de Aduanas (General Directorate of Customs), both in administrative proceedings before the Tribunal Fiscal de la Nación (National Tax Court) and in court.
Chambers & Partners ranked Juan Pablo in Band 2 for International Trade/WTO and noted: “Partner Juan Pablo Rothschild enters the rankings for the first time this year after receiving praise from the market. He graduated with a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 1998, specializing in economic and business law. In 2002, he earned an LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University in the United States.
He teaches in the law degree program at Universidad de San Andrés and is an active member of the Instituto Argentino de Estudios Aduaneros and the Asociación Argentina de Estudios Fiscales.
He has spoken at conferences and seminars in Argentina and abroad, and has published several articles on the subject.
