He joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 1991 and has been a partner at the firm since 1998. An expert in industrial property, his practice focuses on patent law. He has advised domestic and foreign companies on matters in his area of expertise.
He graduated with a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 1991, obtained an LL.M. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1996, and worked as a foreign associate at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering that same year.
He has taken part in industrial property seminars and has written publications on the subject in Argentina and internationally. He has also written several books on patent law.
He has taught postgraduate courses in industrial property at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina, the University of Buenos Aires, the University of Palermo, Austral University and the University of San Andrés. He has been a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law, as well as at The George Washington University Law School and Harvard Law School.
He is currently a member of the Argentine Association of Industrial Property Agents, the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property, the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), the Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI), the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and the Buenos Aires City Bar Association.
