Pablo J. Gayol

Pablo Gayol joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 1997. His practice at the firm focuses on international trade, mergers and acquisitions, financial derivatives and complex financial contracts.

He has advised numerous clients on antidumping matters and international trade regulation, including in the antidumping investigation into footwear originating in China, in which he represented most of the major international sports footwear brands and several Chinese manufacturers.

He has also worked on acquisitions, representing either the buyer or the seller, and on the structuring of start-ups. He has also worked on corporate reorganisations of corporate groups.

In the finance area, he has advised various local and foreign banks, brokers and companies on derivatives contracts and securities offering regulation.



He has written articles on foreign trade, derivatives and other areas of his practice.

Education

• He graduated with honours from Universidad Católica Argentina (1996), earned an LLM from the University of Chicago (1997) and a Master’s in Finance, specialising in capital markets, from Universidad del CEMA (2002). Pablo has been a CFA charterholder since 2012.

Academic Activities

• Pablo teaches Antidumping and Quantitative Restrictions in the postgraduate programme at Universidad de San Andrés and Legal Aspects of Derivatives in the postgraduate programmes at Universidad Torcuato di Tella and Universidad del CEMA.
