Carlos Codas will be FERRERE´s new Managing Partner in Paraguay  

Carlos Loizaga will step down following 20 years leading the firm
 

Regional firm FERRERE has announced that Carlos Codas will replace Nestor Loizaga as Managing Partner of the firm in Paraguay.

After 20 years leading the arrival, growth and consolidation of FERRERE in Paraguay, Nestor Loizaga, will leave that position on January 1, 2024, while continuing as a partner.  

This decision is in line with the firm’s policies that encourage the permanent generation of new leaders.

Carlos Codas has focused his practice on providing legal advice in the areas of commercial, banking, securities, insurance, financial and administrative law. He has an outstanding academic background in Paraguay and the United States, and as part of his career, he was Manager of the Legal Unit of the Central Bank of Paraguay.

Commenting on the news, FERRERE´s regional managing partner based in Uruguay, Agustín Mayer West said: "Nestor has been key to the regionalisation of the firm, leading the project in Asunción from the start, consolidating our office in that market and taking it to a position of clear leadership". He added: "I can only thank him and the whole team in Paraguay for their enormous dedication, and we wish Carlos every success, we trust in his drive and vision to take on the challenges ahead."

Meanwhile, Nestor Loizaga said: "It has been 20 very intense and satisfying years of fulfilling FERRERE’s dream in Paraguay. From a different role, I will continue to contribute to the firm’s success, and I feel very motivated and excited to continue to support the Firm in this new stage".
