Santo Domingo, R.D. The National Association of Young Business Leaders (Asociación Nacional de Jóvenes Empresarios, ANJE) swore in its new Board of Directors for the period October 2022 to October 2023, chaired by the forty-fourth president of ANJE, Jaime Senior. The installation took place during the Annual Meeting of the association, held on Tuesday, October 11, of this year in accordance with its by-laws.

As part of the association’s Annual Meeting, the newly elected Board of Directors was sworn in, composed of: Jaime Senior, President; Christian Cabral, First Vice president; José Nelton González, Second Vice president; Amalia Vega, Treasurer; Karina Mancebo, Vice treasurer; Gisselle Valera, Secretary; Leritza Monsanto, Vice secretary; Kalil Díaz, Director; Claudia Finke, Director; Boris de León, Director; Luis Manuel Pellerano, Past President; and Sol Disla, Executive Director.

During the event, the new president of ANJE stated that: "ANJE’s purpose and what will continue to be the focus of this administration is the promotion of a business climate that fosters national economic and social development, through common efforts that have a direct impact on public policies, social stability, economic growth and, of course, on the improvement of the quality of life of the Dominican people."

In his speech, President Jaime Senior explained that the association will focus on four main pillars during the coming year: the macroeconomic situation and its impact on the business climate; reforms that generate a high impact on development; the promotion of female leadership in business and trade groups; and entrepreneurship and innovation as drivers of growth.

In addition, he said "In this coming year, through our pillars, we will strive to make ANJE the means to improve the quality of life of young businesspersons, to create the conditions to make it increasingly agile and attractive to do business in our country, to increase institutionalism and transparency, and that every day that passes we feel even more proud to be Dominicans."

Likewise, he reaffirmed that it is essential to address reforms such as electoral reform, transparency, quality of education, the administrative jurisdiction, public procurement and contracting law, and the water and land management laws.

During the annual meeting, Luis Manuel Pellerano, departing president of the association, presented his management report, in which he outlined the initiatives and projects carried out during his term of office, highlighting the fundamental axes of his presidency: "The history of ANJE during the last 43 years is accompanied by sacrifice, detachment and absolute dedication to the best interests of the country, contributing to consolidate a stable business climate through the strengthening of institutions, economic growth, support for government initiatives that encourage Dominican development, and of course, all initiatives from the private sector that encourage progress." The annual meeting also recognized the extraordinary performance of members of the different working committees of the Association.
