New Corporate law firm in Mexico
Mexican lawyers Jaime Cortes-Alvarez, Daniel Muñiz-Quintanilla and Rodrigo Nuñez-Sarrapy have opened Cortes, Muñiz y Nuñez Sarrapy, SC, a corporate law firm specialising in M&A, finance and real estate matters. All of them were formerly associates at Mexican law firm Mijares, Angoitia, Cortes y Fuentes, SC.
The three partners have broad experience in cross-border transactions and have worked in the New York and London offices of prestigious international law firms.
Notwithstanding its recent creation, Cortes, Muñiz y Nuñez Sarrapy, SC have participated in relevant transactions, such as the US$35 million mortgage portfolio sales successfully completed by Banco Obrero and Banco Union through its bankruptcy liquidator, IPAB. Earlier this year, Jaime Cortes-Alvarez advised Mexican homebuilder URBI in its global IPO.
