Eduardo Calderón

Eduardo Calderón is a partner at BLP’s San José office. In more than 20 years of practice, he has represented numerous domestic and multinational companies on a range of day-to-day matters and led mergers and acquisitions transactions, coordinating work for BLP’s other offices in Central America and with international law firms and legal teams around the world.
He has frequently represented foreign banks in the region, as well as underwriters of sovereign bonds issued by the Costa Rican government in international markets. His clients recognize him as a strong negotiator who is highly skilled and efficient in finding solutions, as well as an effective manager of teams.
In real estate and hospitality, he has been involved in the development of the largest real estate projects in Costa Rica’s coastal and urban areas.
His experience in telecommunications, media and technology includes extensive knowledge of applicable regulation, asset acquisition processes, media financing and the resolution of sector-specific disputes.
