Javier Izquierdo

Javier joined Pérez-Llorca as a partner in 2018, after nearly fifteen years in practice at domestic and international firms.
Javier has advised on, among other matters, civil litigation and arbitration involving banking law, construction, distribution agreements, energy, challenges to corporate resolutions, and the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
Javier also has extensive experience in both domestic and international arbitration and has participated in major arbitrations involving a range of matters before the Madrid Chamber of Commerce (CAM), the Civil and Commercial Arbitration Court (CIMA) and the International Chamber of Commerce International Court of Arbitration (ICC).
In insolvency matters, Javier has advised both debtors and creditors at the various stages of proceedings, including on avoidance actions, termination of contracts for breach by the company in insolvency proceedings, and the negotiation and execution of various agreements in insolvency proceedings.
