Profile
He has built his career at firms including Arthur Andersen Asesores Legales y Tributarios (1987‐1991) and Baker & McKenzie (1991-1999). He co-founded SJ Berwin España in 1999 and served as managing partner of the firm’s Tax and Private Equity practice until 2006, when he joined Rodés & Sala as a partner. For the past nine years, he has been a partner in BROSETA’s Tax / Wealth / Private Equity practice and director of its Zurich office.
He has taught at Instituto de Empresa since 1999, covering domestic and international taxation, tax structuring of international transactions, and private equity, and has been recognised over the years as one of its top professors.
He has also taught the same subjects in postgraduate courses at Fundación San Pablo CEU, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Universidad Pontificia de Comillas/ICADE.
EDUCATION
- Law degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
- Master’s degree in Tax Law from the School of Economics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
