Karla G. Aguilar

Karla is a founding partner of BLP in Honduras. Her areas of practice include Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, Corporate, Aviation & Maritime, and Energy & Infrastructure.

Over her 20 years of experience in Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety, she has advised on permitting and licensing procedures, environmental mitigation agreements, the preparation of environmental impact studies, and processes and strategies for engaging stakeholders in projects of all kinds, particularly in the electricity and infrastructure sectors.

In Aviation & Maritime, she has extensive experience advising on and drafting aviation contracts, registrations, permits and licences, as well as a thorough understanding of the industry’s regulatory framework.

In Energy & Infrastructure, she has experience advising on legal matters in regulated sectors, national and international tender processes, electricity supply agreements (PPAs), permits, and strategies for stakeholder engagement in the development, construction and operation of electricity projects, as well as legal consulting and obtaining environmental licences.
