Luis Castro

Luis M. Castro is a partner at BLP in its San José office. His practice areas include Corporate Law, Energy & Infrastructure, and Real Estate & Hospitality.
In his more than 20 years in the legal profession, he has represented a significant number of domestic and multinational companies on a range of day-to-day matters. He has led cross-border mergers and acquisitions transactions, coordinating work for BLP’s other offices in Central America and with international law firms and legal teams around the world.
In Real Estate & Hospitality, he has been involved in the development of some of the largest real estate projects in Costa Rica’s coastal and urban areas. His clients regard him as a leading lawyer in this area and an authority in the sector.
In Energy & Infrastructure, he has experience advising on the regulated sector, project and infrastructure finance, international and domestic tender processes, energy contracts, legal consulting and permits from the relevant government agencies. Clients recognise Luis’s strong business acumen and negotiating skills, as well as his extensive knowledge of energy projects.
