Mercedes Romero joined Pérez-Llorca in 2006, after practising for a year and a half at a mid-sized firm in Madrid, and was appointed partner in January 2017.
Mercedes works across sectors including finance, construction and engineering, corporate, energy and telecommunications. She has acted in complex domestic and international court and arbitration proceedings involving disputes arising from contractual obligations under sale and purchase, distribution, financial, finance lease, joint venture, turnkey and shareholders’ agreements, as well as breaches of contract generally. She has also participated in insolvency proceedings and proceedings to enforce foreign judgments and arbitral awards, as well as in other matters relating to private international law.
