On leave from his position as counsel at the Banco de España, he built his career before joining BROSETA at institutions including Citibank, where he headed the legal department, and as a partner at Garrigues and Clifford Chance.
He has taught commercial law at CEU and ICADE, and international contracting at Instituto de Empresa. He has also contributed chapters to edited volumes and articles to specialist Spanish and international legal journals on topics including European banking regulation, project finance, public-private partnerships, the legal aspects of the introduction of the euro, anti-money laundering regulation and the redesign of Spain’s legal framework for banking.
