Vivian Liberman specializes in corporate law and co-heads the firm’s Banking & Finance practice. She also coordinates the firm’s sustainability strategy.
In the Banking & Finance practice, she is known for her extensive experience advising on credit and financing transactions, representing multilateral financial institutions with investments and projects in Central America.
She is also director of Fundación BLP and director of BLP’s Gender Equity Commission; coordinator of the Pro Bono Commission of the Costa Rican Bar Association; a member of the board of directors of the National Social Responsibility Advisory Council; and a member of the board of directors of the Business Association for Development (AED). She actively participates in national and international forums on gender equity and the role of women in the legal profession.
Vivian leads the firm’s sustainability strategy, which is implemented by Sostenibilidad by BLP, an initiative that coordinates efforts to contribute to human and social development in the communities where BLP operates. These efforts have earned the firm the Blue Flag Ecological Award for 6 years and the Carbon Neutral Country Brand seal for the past 5 consecutive years, both awarded by the Costa Rican government. These distinctions made BLP the first law firm in Central America to receive recognition for its environmental management in 2015.
