Lilian Arias Makes History as First Female ’Eminent Practitioner’ in Latin America
Arias - Lilian Arias, Managing Partner at ARIAS El Salvador, has made history as the first woman in Latin America to be recognized as an Eminent Practitioner in the Chambers Latin America Legal Guide 2026. This recognition marks her 18th consecutive year ranked by Chambers, including 14 years in Band 1 for the Corporate/Commercial practice, highlighting her leadership and influence in the regional legal market.
Throughout her career, Lilian has advised major national and international companies on mergers and acquisitions, privatizations, financing, tax planning, corporate governance, regulatory matters, and restructuring. Her work includes structuring loans and guarantees for international financial institutions, guiding multinational companies through complex acquisition and expansion projects across Central America and Mexico, and advising boards on corporate, financial, and fiscal issues since the 1990s.
