Ulises Cabrera participates in AMCHAMDR´s AI Ethics Guide 2024, promoting Responsible Technological Development

The Technology and Innovation Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) has launched the Artificial Intelligence Ethics Guide 2024, a document that establishes a key benchmark for the responsible development of emerging technologies. This initiative was shared with the United States agency, United States Representative (USTR), which praised its comprehensive approach, noting that it ‘captures a solid guide for its membership’.

Ulises Cabrera, with the contribution of Partner Mirna J. Amiama Nielsen, has been instrumental in this initiative, actively participating in the Committee’s Artificial Intelligence Taskforce.

Amiama, known for her commitment and expertise, is also a member of AMCHAMDR’s Legal and Energy Committee.

The Artificial Intelligence Ethics Guide 2024 continues the pioneering work of the Taskforce initiated in 2023, which seeks to inform, disseminate and educate on the use of Artificial Intelligence. In this document, ethical guidelines are proposed for companies, focusing on the criteria of responsibility, trust, governance, transparency and the centrality of people.
