Pérez-Llorca appoints Marta Núñez as Tax Partner
April 22, 2024
Pérez-Llorca has announced the appointment of Marta Núñez as a new tax partner in its Madrid office.
Núñez, who developed her career in the tax department of Delotte Legal in Spain, is an expert in VAT, as well as energy and environmental taxation.
She joins Pérez-Llorca’s tax team, which currently comprises 6 partners and more than 30 lawyers, and will work in coordination with the rest of the firm’s transactional teams, opening up an area in which specialisation is essential.
Núñez has worked with the most important national and international groups on projects of various types, ranging from the preparation of reports on the VAT taxation of the business of these companies and their value chain, or the impact on them of regulatory, doctrinal and jurisprudential changes, to participation in M&A operations and tax advice on taxes arising in the energy and environmental sectors.
A graduate in Law and Business Management and Administration from the Carlos III University of Madrid, she completed her studies with a Masters in Taxation from the Garrigues Study Centre and a Masters in International Trade from the Complutense University of Madrid.
Clara Jiménez, partner in charge of the tax department at Pérez-Llorca, commented: "Marta’s arrival is part of the line of growth and specialisation that we offer our clients at the firm. On the one hand, it responds to their needs in areas where specialisation is essential, such as VAT, and on the other hand, it strengthens our energy and environmental taxation practice at a time when changes and new tax figures are constantly appearing in this sector. These are areas where our clients need highly specialised advice and knowledge of very complex sectors, as these tax figures are very close to their business models. Their complementarity with the energy practice will help us to better serve our clients. Marta will contribute her knowledge and experience across the Firm’s different teams".
