Headrick Rizik Alvarez & Fernández was founded in 1985 by a group of four experienced lawyers with expertise in different practice areas and a vision of building a firm that meets the highest international standards. The firm currently has twelve partners, making it one of the largest firms in the country, as well as a number of paralegals and other highly qualified administrative staff who strive to provide clients with exceptional and timely service. The firm was recently named "Dominican Republic Law Firm of the Year" by Chambers & Partners in 2018, 2016 and 2014, and "Dominican Republic Law Firm of the Year" by International Financial Law Review (IFLR) in 2015 and 2016, in addition to numerous other distinctions received by the firm, its partners and staff over the course of its practice. On September 11, Headrick was named "Firm of the Year 2019" at the first awards ceremony for lawyers held by Revista Mercado, the leading business magazine in the Dominican Republic.
