Mary Fernández

Founding partner of Headrick. Her practice has focused on corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, foreign investment, and banking and finance law. She is the Dominican Republic’s ambassador to the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Commission on Intellectual Property. She is president of the Latin American Council of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) International Section. She is an arbitrator and chair of the Mediation, Conciliation and Arbitration Committee of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI). She is a judge of ASIPI’s Disciplinary Tribunal. She is an arbitrator and member of the Executive Committee of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Center (CRC) of the Santo Domingo Chamber of Commerce and Production (CCPSD), and a member of the CCPSD’s board of directors.

She is recognized as a Band 1 lawyer for Business Law, in the areas of Corporate/Commercial Law and Intellectual Property, by Chambers Global 2019 and Chambers Latin America 2020. Recommended by Latin Lawyer 250 2019. Her work in Corporate Law was recognized by The Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA) 2019. She teaches contracts in industrial property law at the master’s level at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PCUMM).
