Profile
Alejandro has extensive experience in administrative law, public law and domestic arbitration, and as a notary. During his career, he has served as a university professor and legal adviser to several professional associations, including those representing veterinarians, journalists, psychologists and social workers. He has represented public-sector companies, including Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social, Banco Crédito Agrícola de Cartago and Fundación Costa Rica Canadá.

- Master’s degree in constitutional law.

- Law degree, University of Costa Rica.
MEMBERSHIPS AND ASSOCIATIONS
- President of the Instituto de Prensa y Libertad de Expresión (IPLEX), with extensive experience in freedom of expression and access to public information.
- Active member of several arbitration centres, including the Centro de Arbitraje y Conciliación de la Cámara de Comercio de Costa Rica; the Centro de Resolución de Conflictos del Colegio Federado de Ingenieros y Arquitectos de Costa Rica; and the Centro de Justicia Alternativa del Colegio de Abogados de Costa Rica.
- Arbitrator at law since 2001.
- Member of the Colegio de Abogados de Costa Rica since 1988.
