With 20 years of experience, she has extensive experience in securities and financial law and in structuring corporate finance transactions, including public and private securities offerings for domestic and foreign issuers, as well as advising securities intermediaries on regulatory and compliance matters. She participated in the US$300 million international bond issuance and the US$50.75 million local bond issuance by Autopistas del Sol S.A., advising Citigroup Global Markets Inc. as structuring agent and global coordinator, and Banco CMB (Costa Rica) S.A. as local structuring agent. She has played an active role in developing and structuring strategic projects in Costa Rica’s securities market, including the creation of INTERCLEAR, the local central securities depository, and MAPA, an alternative stock market for medium-sized and fast-growing companies.
During her career, she has served as director of legal affairs at the Bolsa Nacional de Valores de Costa Rica, the Central de Valores (CEVAL) and Grupo ALDESA, and as a research and teaching assistant for the Foundations of American Law and Legal Education program at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC.
