Mariángela Pellerano has been with Pellerano & Herrera since 2003 and became a partner in 2012. She has 13 years of legal experience, focusing on project finance, mergers and acquisitions, trusts, mining, energy, banking and corporate law.
Mariángela advises local and international companies on project finance and corporate matters, and has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions.
She has worked on highly complex transactions in the Dominican Republic. She advised Barrick Gold Corporation, the world’s largest gold producer, on the full installation and commissioning of the Pueblo Viejo gold mine project, valued at US$2.7 billion and the largest foreign investment project in the history of the Dominican Republic. She also acted as local counsel to Barrick Gold Corporation on the US$1.2 billion syndicated financing for the development of the Pueblo Viejo gold mine, which won Latin Lawyer’s “Project Finance Deal of the Year 2010” award. Mariángela regularly advises local and foreign banks and multilateral institutions on syndicated loans and private equity investments.
